Selected Events For June 1997
- San Francisco, California:
KQED's 15th Annual Beer & Food Festival
- A 3-hour tasting frenzy on June 28 at the Concourse Exhibition Center, benefitting local public broadcasting. Always a good feed with numerous booths providing food ranging from basic to gourmet and dozens upon dozens of domestic and imported brews available for sampling. Call 415-553-2157 for details.
- Denver, Colorado:
Lower Downtown Beer, Wine and Food Festival
- The forth year for this fest, and the first under its new, food-and-wine-inclusive moniker. The event runs June 14 and 15 in the streets and parking lots of the LoDo region of the city and will feature 40 beers, 20 bands on two continuous stages, cider, mead and wine. - Catford, London, England:
5th Catford Beer Festival
- Over 70 real ales, all from independent brewers, and over 120 gallons of perry and cider, plus English wines and imported beers, will be available for tasting at this event. It takes place June 11-14 at the Lewisham Theatre on Rushey Green. Call 0181 857 4214 for info or to volunteer to help out.
