The Great American Beer Festival
- The Big One! Three sessions of tasting on October 3 and 4, with two on the Saturday, one on the Friday night and an extra one on Thursday night if you happen to be a member of the American Homebrewers Association. 8th Annual Taste of the Great Lakes

3WV/SAAB Blues and Brews Festival
- One day of the increasingly popular combination of beer and blues at Charlotteville's downtown amphitheatre. The day is October 11, the time is 2:00-7:00 p.m. and admission is only $9.75 in advance, $12.00 at the door, with tastings available at $1.00 each.
