Selected Events For November
- Chicago, Illinois, USA: November 7 - 9, 1997
1997 Real Ale Festival
- North America's premier cask ale event, featuring ales from all over America plus a collection of past Champion Beers of Britain. Tasting tickets start at $29 and special events include a tasting of varietal hop beers and a homebrewed cask ale competition. Contact Ray Daniels at 773-665-1300 or e-mail him at rdan@mcs.com for more information.
- Victoria, British Columbia, Canada: November 14 - 15, 1997
The Great Canadian Beer Festival
- Not the biggest beer fest in Canada, but generally considered to be one of the best. Hosted by CAMRA - Canada, this beer tasting event features only genuinely craft-brewed beers that pass the strict CAMRA qualification standards. Call Dave Preston at 604-595-7729 or e-mail him at dpreston@pacificcoast.net for further details.
- Antwerp, Belgium: November 5 - 16, 1997
24 Hours of Beer
- The big one in Belgium; over 80 of the "Het Bierland's" finest specialty beers, all presented on draught at what is called the longest bar in Belgium. The fest runs for 12 hours on Saturday and another 12 on Sunday, thus making up the 24 Hours of the name. If you can make it, I'll see you there! Contact 03/232.45.38 or e-mail to obp@www.dma.be for more information.
