I'm planning a trip to Madrid next month. Where is Naturbier?

-- Howard Rosenthal

Naturbier is at Plaza Santa Ana 9, Phone 429 39 18. Also strongly recommended is the Casa Parrondo sidreria at Trujillos 4 or 9, Phone 522 62 34. (The associated restaurant, Cocina Asturiana, is across the street, but I'm not sure which one is #4 and which is #9 because the business card I have lists both addresses without specifying which is which...) Try the house sidra.

Stephen:

I'd like to find a reliable vendor of Belgian beers for delivery through the mail. Can you help? Thanks in advance.

-- Marshall Molloy

I just found Kelly's Internet Liquor Store at http://www.fjr.com/kellys. They seem to have a pretty good Belgian selection, so you might want to check them out. Anybody out there have any other suggestions for Marshall?

Mr Beaumont:

I have been a homebrewer for 6 years and have travelled across the country in search of the best. As you know the GABF is coming to Baltimore. Fantastic! As resident of Baltimore, I am familiar with all aspects of the beer scene. If any of your readers need help in finding our best Brew Pubs and Beer Bars, feel free to give them my e mail address and I will help them.

Here is a short list of places to stop:

  • Baltimore Brewing: right down the street from the convention center; German lagers, some of the best in the country.
  • Oliver`s Wharf Rat: across the street from the convention center; English ales, always fresh.
  • Brewer`s Art: about 10 blocks north of the convention center on Charles St.; Belgian style ales -- yum, yum. Beautiful place and great food.

If anybody is interested I can also list all the Beer Bars. There are quite a few.

Thanks for the great web page. Hope to see you in Baltimore

-- Mike McColgan; HOPPYMIKE@aol.com

There you are, folks; Hoppy Mike has offered, now take him up on it.

Dear Sir,

Are you aware of any mutual funds dedicated to Beer?

-- Kevin Jennings

Sorry, Kevin, but I'm drawing a blank here. Does anybody out there know of any?
