The Book and the Cook

March 19-28, 1999 - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Ever-growing and improving, The Book and the Cook is a landmark fest for people who love eating, drinking, cooking and reading. For beer-event details, please see this month's Feedback section. For further information, visit the festival's home page at www.thebookandthecook.com.

London Drinker Beer & Cider Festival

March 24-26, 1999 - London, England

A selection of regional beers, ciders, perries, imported beers and "beers rarely seen in London" are promised at this three-day event to be held at the Camden Centre on Bidborough Street. Times and admission prices vary. Consult the CAMRA home page (www.camra.org.uk) for more details, or phone Christine Cryne at 0181 452 6965 to volunteer.

Winterfest '99

March 20, 1999 - Karstula, Finland

My Finnish isn't terribly good, but I'm pretty sure that this event has at least something to do with beer. (Besides, how can I resist something billed as "The Most Different Winter Event in the World?") If you want to test your Finnish skills, visit Winterfest '99's home page at www.aloha.fi/winterfest. Alternately, contact Jari Niskanen at +358 14 4695 502 or email him at jari.niskanen@aloha.fi
