Feedback -- Your Comments, Criticisms and ContributionsThank you for such an attractive and informative site. I've enjoyed your articles in the Celebrator Beer News for several years, and thought I'd check out your web site. Keep up the good work, and if you ever come to Japan, let me know beforehand. -- Bryan Harrell Thank you for the positive comments on the site. We're working to improve it even more with a new design and content. (Mind you, I've been saying this for months now, so who knows when the damn redesign will actually be finished.) I have likewise enjoyed your writing in the Celebrator for a few years now and am fascinated by what's happening in Japan these days. I do intend to get over there some time in the near future and you can bet that I'll take you up on your invitation to get in touch before I do.

I AM A LOVER OF STELLA ARTOIS, WHICH IS NOT IMPORTED HERE IN TEXAS. LABATT IS THE IMPORTER. DO YOU KNOW OF ANY PLANS TO BRING IT DOWN HERE ? -- WILLIAM SCHROIF I'm unsure of whether Labatt has any intentions of bringing Stella to the Lone Star State, but you might want to ask them directly through their web site, http://www.bestbelgianbeers.com.
I was curious if you have ever heard of a black beer called Kostriker that is brewed at the Brewery in Bitburg Germany. We had it when we were there. I would like to know if there is anyway of obtaining it here in the states or even by mail order. Our local stores here in Oklahoma have never heard of it and we liked it so much when we were there we brought some back with us. Unfortunately, it's all gone now. I would appreciate any information you can find for me---Thank you, -- Brigitte Kersten-Riggs The beer that you speak of sounds to me like Kostritzer Schwartzbier, a black lager brewed in the former East German town of Bad Kostritz and fairly widely available across northern Germany. (If not, I'm afraid that I am unfamiliar with the brew you seek.) I agree with you that it is a very fine beer, but know of no one who imports it into Canada or the States. If you are ever in the Pacific Northwest of the US, you might want to try Full Sail's Black Pilsner as a worthy substitute.
