8th Annual Great Alaska Beer and Barleywine Festival
Location: William A. Egan Convention Center in downtown Anchorage
Join World of Beer's Stephen Beaumont and more than 3,500 Alaskan beer lovers to taste winter beers and barley wines from 40 or more breweries, many of them based in Alaska proper. Last year's event featured 175 beers, including over 30 barley wines. The fest benefits the American Diabetes Association.
CAMRA's National Champion Winter Ale Competition features winter warmers, old ales, stouts and porters, best bitters and other real ales, ciders and perries and a large foreign beer bar. This event is a benefit for The Rainbow Family Trust Children's Hospice.
Hours: Thursday 5:30 - 10:30pm, Friday and Saturday noon-4:00pm &
