Seattle International Beerfest

Over 110 world-class beers from more than 15 countries will be featured, including 25 Belgians on tap and another 30 in the bottle. Live music all weekend highlights styles ranging from rockabilly to Dixieland jazz, all in an outdoor park setting in the heart of Seattle. This is a pet friendly fest.

August 3 - 7, 2004 - London, England

Great British Beer Festival

If you're in the greater London area near the start of August, be sure not to miss the biggest and best cask-conditioned ale festival in the world, where you will find over 400 British real ales, as well as real cider, perry and a huge selection of imported beers. Entertainment is also provides, as well as food, traditional pub games tombolas and auctions. Tutored beer tastings throughout the course of the fest feature beer luminaries such as Tim Webb, Roger Protz, Lorenzo Dabove and Michael Jackson.

Location: Grand and National Halls, Olympia
Hours: Tuesday 5pm-10.30pm; Wednesday noon-10.30pm; Thursday noon-10.30pm; Friday noon-10.30pm; Saturday 11am-7pm.
Admission: Each session is either £5 or £6, or season tickets are available at £17.50 and entitle you to entry at all sessions.

August 21, 2004 - Cooperstown, New York, United States

Belgium Comes To Cooperstown

This annual Belgian festival is dedicated to Belgian and Belgian-style beers, this year featuring 30 breweries and importers presenting their wares. Also on offer is authentic Belgian food, including waffles, quiches, sausages, cheeses, mussels and frites, along with upstate New York foods including locally made cheeses, roasted sweet corn, and roast pig. Entertainment includes live music and many other amusements, some Belgian in nature, some local to Upstate New York.

Location: 656 County Highway 33, 5 minutes south of Cooperstown.
Hours: noon - 4:00 pm
Admission: $20 advance, $30 at the door
