1st Annual Gluten-Free Beer Festival

To our knowledge the first-ever beer fest devoted to gluten-free beers will feature at least 18 celiac-friendly brews, including beers from Finland, Italy, the U.S., Canada and Australia. The intent of this festival is to continue as both a concept and, beginning in February, a website: www.glutenfreebeerfestival.com. Additionally, there will be over 80 real ales at the main fest, plus ciders, perries and country wines.

And Coming Up in March:
If you plan to be in Belgium for the Zythos Beer Festival (formerly the 24 Hours of Beer Festival), don't miss The Night of Large Thirst at the church square in Eizeringen (Lennik). First organized in 2004, this remarkable festival features perhaps the most comprehensive selection of traditional lambic found anywhere in the world. Plan for Friday, March 3, and check out www.nightoflargethirst.be for further details.
