I'm selling one mint set of the 2001 Labatt Blue Mini Stanley Cups. The complete set includes all 30 different cups. If anyone is interested, email me at the following address: martin_ice@hotmail.com
Thanks, Martin. Brewerianists out there take note.
I'm not a beer connoisseur, so I need some help resolving a disagreement with my waitstaff. They tell me that if we store a case of beer in the cooler and take it back out, allowing it to warm back to room temperature, it will spoil the beer. I find this hard to believe. I'm from Canada and have worked in restaurants for years, but I've never heard of this before. I'm working in Jamaica now and things are SOOO different here. Still, we're not storing the beer in the sun, so I can't see how it would spoil unless it's really old. So please let me know if this is true about beer, and what its shelf-life is.

Your staff are lingering under the delusions of old wives' tales. Refrigerating beer and then allowing it to warm will NOT harm the beer. The shelf life of a cold case of commercial lager should be up to several months, but do remember that beer always keeps better when it's in a cool, dark place.
I recently tried Desperados in Europe, and I loved it. Is there anywhere in the U.S. that I could get it? I live in Michigan.
-- James
I do not believe that Desperados is imported to the US. But as it is made by Fischer, you can take your request to the source by visiting www.fischerbeverages.com.
In your new Great Canadian Beer Guide, you mention that Moosehead has bought 45% of McAuslan Brewing. Do you think this is going to have any impact on the taste of either the St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout or Pale Ale?
-- Scott
The deal will result in the building of a new brewery in Montreal, and also the brewing of Moosehead there. Whether or not that in turn will lead to a significant taste change is something we will have to wait and see.
