Your Comments, Criticisms and Contributions - December 2001
Hi, I'm looking for 15 largest breweries in the UK and were wondering if you could help me out. If you could send me a list of these I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid that this is information I do not have. I'd suggest trying CAMRA (www.camra.org.uk).
I will be in Vienna and Innsbruck in December (with a side trip to Bratislava). Have you written on Austria? Can you recommend bars that have a wide selection, particularly places likely to carry seasonal beers? Thanks
- Michael Knies
The best source for the info you seek is Achwiegut, the guide to Austrian beer. Check it out at: http://www.austrianbeer.com/
In one of your last reviews, you wrote of Sam Adams Triple Bock: "I do hope that Boston Beer will do this again, and this time release the beer to the public." Did you mean that this beer isn't available in stores? I'd be surprised, because it is available at liquor store. Were you talking about a new batch?
- Benoit Mercier
What I meant was the aging of the Triple Bock and the addition of the fruit, as described in the story (http://worldofbeer.com/totm/totm-200110.html). The ordinary Triple Bock is, of course, still widely available.
I've heard rumours that Unibroue is bringing out a tenth anniversary beer called "Unibroue 10." Have you heard anything about this and/or know when it might be coming out?

It is true, the beer is called Unibroue 10 and it is in stores now. As I understand it, most of the beer will be sold in Québec, but I know some is also destined for select Ontario bars and it has also been advertised in the States. Watch the Kitchen Table Tastings section for an upcoming review.
