Your Comments, Criticisms and Contributions - August 2005
Hi,
I recently purchased a poster from beerbooks.com, largely based on your review of their products back in March 2002. Unlike your experience with their products, I have to pass along to you how disappointed I am with the poster. Yes, I knew it was going to be
printed with toner, but the quality of the printing is lousy. Perhaps they need to change their ink cartridge, but the black background on my poster is uneven, with patches that look almost maroon. Also the quality of the paper must have declined since your review; mine is printed on what feels like butcher paper, no heavier than regular white printer paper, not the "ultra-high-quality" paper they promise, and nothing like the heavy poster stock that most vintage art prints are printed on. I found many of the same vintage beer images at allposters.com and the two posters I have received from them blow the quality of beerbooks.com away. I would not recommend beerbooks.com posters to anyone. Thanks for listening,
- Brian Thompson
I am very sorry to hear about your beerbooks poster experience. You're quite right in that it sounds completely opposite my experience, which, of course, is several years old at this point. Sad to hear that they have changed that much.
I would strongly recommend that you convey your disappointment to them directly, if you have not already.
Hi Stephen,
The Beer Club finished off its evening travel with a visit to your beerbistro on Sat. Had the Westmalle Triple and the Rochefort 10. I've had both before but most members hadn't. Made for good discussion. Great time had by all. Keep up the good work. beerbistro is a tremendous addition to downtown.
Cheers,
Kent
Glad to hear that you enjoyed yourself, Kent. Hope to see you there some day.
hi - I linked on the chilibeer.com web site, went to the Florida distributor and your name popped up. I live in the Orlando area and am looking for an outlet that sells chili beer, so if you've got any leads, please let me know. I'd really appreciate it and would score points with the wife if I brought some home for her. thanks your reply.

I have no idea why my banner is linked with the Florida distributor, but I'd suggest you give Apple A Day a call, since I have nothing to do with them.
