Hi:
I've heard that some brewers use rice in the barley malt. Do you know of any brewers that do that?

What some do, Daniel, is supplement the barley malt component of the beer with rice. Most famous for this, of course, is Anheuser-Busch, who uniquely boast of the quality of the rice used on the label of Budweiser.
Re: Wurzburger
Do you know of anywhere in Ohio I can buy this beer or a way to get it. My dad used to drink it when I was a kid and I would love to experience it again.
Thanks, Bob
Hi Bob:
Here's the importer info for Wurzburger:

Stephen,
First of all, let me say I'm a fan of your writings about beer. You have a nice style that is very accessible.
Now, let me tell you why I'm really writing. I'm teaching a new Belgian beer appreciation class in Seattle. I hope to offer a couple sections of the class three times a year. Below is the info. I was wondering if you would consider listing on your events calendar?
Thanks for your consideration!
Stu
Stu went on to list some sessions of his course, but they were unfortunately all in April and so too late for last month's WoB. But I'm confident he'll do them again, so if Belgian beer is of interest to you and you'd like to learn more in the Seattle area, keep an eye on www.exco.org or call (206) 543-4375 or (231) 215-0173
We're very interested in your news, notes, comments and questions, so please feel free to contact SBWoB by clicking on the link below.
